If you're a Minnesotan, you'd be hard-pressed to not have crossed paths with our COO Jessi Pierce, or seen her name at least once in the past 10 years. In that time, after college in Iowa (go Cyclones) and internships/careers in Colorado and Syracuse, N.Y., she has planted herself at nearly every metro rink and hockey event across the state, covering grassroots storylines for USA Hockey/Minnesota Hockey, plus the gameday news and events for the Minnesota Wild with NHL.com (and sporadically withThe Athletic).
It only seemed fitting that a rink rat writer would take the next step into the media and content creation world--always going beyond sports for the stories.
Jessi has never shied away from a challenge or a good conversation. She combines her passion for telling people's tales with an affinity for personal connections to help it all come to life in her writing. She has always recognized the need for telling stories on multiple platforms in multiple ways, so she's using her past experience of radio, broadcast and editing combined with her writing and interviewing skills to jell it all together.
While Jessi's passion is undoubtedly in her career, she has three kiddos that help remind her to put the phone down and step away from the computer once in awhile. You'll almost always find her near a body of water--frozen or liquid--and she's a classic Libra yes-girl, who never turns down a good happy hour and putting a smile on someone's face.
